There Is a Possibility of Availing a Cheap Secured Loan

June 19th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Andrew_Baker]Andrew Baker Do you want to avail a secured loan? Do not want to spend much for that? In this article, some tips are penned in that would guide the reader to avail a cheap secured loan. Generally the interest rate of a secured loan is lower, as this loan is secured on borrowers property. But if you want to avail a secured loan at a cheap rate, the following methods will be advantageous. Security selection: Selection of a security against the borrowed amount is important. Using a worthy security privileges borrowers in getting a cheap secured loan. Especially, if a borrowers security becomes more valuable than the lending amount, lenders do not hesitate to offer a secured loan at a cheaper rate. So, borrowers are advised to choose their security wisely. In this context, we can talk about home or other real estate, automobile, saving account, which are mostly used as security against a secured loan. Some extra edge for the borrowers having good credit score: What your credit score is, many of us cannot answer the question. If you want to avail a secured loan at a cheap rate, at first get your credit score checked. A borrower having good credit score can negotiate with lenders in order to get a secured loan at a cheap rate. So, before applying for that loan, be aware of your present credit score. In that case, you can take help of various credit rating agencies like Equifax, transunion etc. Shopping for the best deal: Nowadays, various lenders like banks, financial institutions, lending companies are offering secured loans. In order to avail a secured loan at a cheaper rate, a borrower has to search for a better deal. Meet various lenders, collect their loan quotes and compare them minutely. By comparing various loan quotes, you can avail a cheap secured loan easily. If you do not have the time for making all such efforts, then simply sit in front of your computer. Many a lender offers secured loans online. Only by clicking the mouse, you can get their loan quotes. And within a few minute you can avail a secured loan at a cheap rate. As a cheap secured loan, a borrower can avail the amount, ranging from 5,000-75,000. The repayment period of the loan varies in between 5-25 years. Though, the presence of security in this option facilitates borrowers to enjoy the benefit of a lower interest rate, but, on the other hand, it enhances the possibility of collateral repossession. So, borrowers are advised to select their borrowed amount wisely. Andrew Baker has done his masters in finance from CPIT. A Look at Brochure Printing Services

June 15th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Max Bellamy A brochure can be a wonderful promotional tool for a wide range of professionals, but getting them set up can be daunting. There are many brochure-printing services available that cater to both the amateur and professional. You can find them in a number of ways, including the phone book, the Internet, graphic design and advertising journals, or word of mouth. Some companies will provide typesetting, design, color separations (four-color process), color proofing and proofreading service, while other companies just provide the most basic color printing, folding and shipping. There are brochure-printing companies that will do everything for you; all you need is a clear idea of your brochures requirements and whether it is business, promotional or another application, and the brochure company will take it from start to finish. Brochure design can be a challenge, so you might consider working with the professional designer that many brochure-printing companies offer. Some companies even offer sales literature development assistance and strategic marketing plans. However if you do your own design, copy writing, typesetting and art placement, and use these services sparingly, you will save money. One thing to keep in mind if you choose to do so is that most basic brochure printing companies will warn you that they will not proof read your work, and that corrections cost extra. If you simply start at the beginning with a step-by-step review of your needs, many companies will walk you through the features and benefits of their products and services. Because there is so much competition, many services (such as shipping) are offered at a discount or even free. Furthermore, most brochure printing companies will provide their own customer service representative who will work closely with you to make sure your job runs smoothly and efficiently through the entire process, from pre-press to final distribution. You should investigate thoroughly each brochure printing company and the services they offer to make sure they meet your requirements. A well-designed brochure can work wonders, and are well worth the effort. Summer Gardening Tips

June 7th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Michael McGroarty Don’t be afraid to trim those flowering shrubs and trees that need it. Failure to prune is probably the biggest gardening mistake a person can make. I spent 20 years landscaping homes and businesses, and I watched people make the investment in my services, then they failed to prune when the plants needed it, and before you know it their landscape looked terrible. If you make a mistake pruning, don’t worry about it. It’s like a bad haircut, it will grow out. Of course use common sense and read the previous articles that I’ve written on pruning. Along with summertime comes high humidity. High humidity can cause a lot of problems with the plants in your garden and around your house. One of the simple things you can do is don’t water just before dark. Make sure your plants are nice and dry when you tuck them in for the night and you can cut down on the chance of fungus being a problem. One of the more common fungi that I get asked about a lot is powdery mildew. This appears as a white film on the leaves of ornamental plants. Dogwoods and Purple Sandcherry are often the victim of powdery mildew. Powdery mildew isn’t extremely harmful to the plants, it’s just that the foliage is damaged, and little growing takes place once it sets in. Your local garden center will have a general fungicide you can spray if you’d like to try and control it. Usually once the plant defoliates in the fall the plant is back to normal. If you have Perennial Rye Grass in your lawn, and you probably do if you’re in the north, you must be careful not to leave your grass wet at night. There is a fungus known as Pythium Blight that appears in very humid conditions. This fungus attacks and kills perennial rye grasses. Here in the north most of our lawns are a blend of fescues, perennial ryes, and Kentucky Blue Grass. If you have problems with Pythium blight you will lose the perennial rye grass in large areas of your lawn, and even though the other grasses will still be there and fill in, your lawn will have areas that are much darker green than the rest of the lawn because you will then have concentrations of Kentucky Blue Grass. You can see this fungus in the early morning. It looks like white cotton candy laying on top of your lawn. It usually appears along walks and driveways where the soil is wet if you have been watering. To prevent Pythium blight water as early in the day as possible. Another nasty little blight that likes summertime is Fire Blight. Fire Blight attacks ornamentals, especially Apple trees, Crabapple trees, Cotoneasters, and Pyracantha. You know you have Fire Blight when a branch on one of your plants dies and turns almost red. The leaves usually hang on but turn reddish brown. The damage usually starts out near the end of the branch and works its way toward the main stem of the plant. There is little you can do except prune out the affected branch, cutting it as far back as possible. Fire Blight is very contagious to plants so you should burn the branches you prune out. You should also dip or wash your pruning shears in rubbing alcohol after each cut to keep from spreading this deadly fungus. Unfortunately, I’ve got one more summertime culprit to warn you about. It’s a handy little fungus that grows in mulch. Actually there are all kinds of fungi that tend to grow in mulches, and most of them are really disgusting looking. But this little gem is unique in the fact that as it grows it tends to swell. Then somehow it manages to explode, and it will spatter your house with tiny brown specks. The experts have appropriately named this one Shotgun Fungus. Isn’t that a cute name? These tiny little brown specks will fly as high as eight feet into the air, and once they stick to your house or windows, they stick like glue. I know that right now there are people hollering across the house at their spouse, Hey, remember those brown specks all over the house? I know what they are. It’s from the mulch! Tell me I’m wrong, but I know I’m not. A lot of people are victims of this nasty little fungus, but they don’t know it. All they know is that there are tiny brown specks on the house that look like paint. So far they have blamed everything from spiders to aliens. There’s not a lot you can do to prevent this fungus. I have found that if you keep the mulch loose so air can circulate it is less likely to grow fungi. Don’t just keep adding layer after layer to the mulch around your house. You should skip at least every other year and just loosen the mulch you already have down. If you loosen it and then rake it flat it will look like you’ve just mulched. Mulch is great, just don’t let it get packed down hard. Loosen it up at least once a year. Hot Sauce - Heating Things Up

June 1st, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Chris McCarthy There is nothing like a dash of hot sauce to liven up even the blandest of all dishes. In fact, true to the genre of sauces all over the world, the hot sauce is not only an accompaniment but also does honors as the prime ingredient in many dishes. The term hot sauce could not have been more apt for it refers to any hot and spicy sauce made from chilly peppers or chilly extracts and vinegar. Thus, you can have sauces made from any kind of chilly pepper (i.e., the fruits of plants hailing from the Capsicum family) like red peppers, habanera or tabasco. The Tabasco sauce is the most popular amongst all the hot sauces available. How hot your hot sauce is going to be is determined by the type of pepper being used. Thus, you have the bell pepper with a barely-there taste at one end of the spectrum and the robust habaneros, which will work up quite a steam, at the other end. Interestingly, it is a substance called capsaicin, which imparts the characteristic heat to the pepper. The hot sauce is a popular constituent in many Mexican and Cajun dishes and in Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. However, its most widespread use is, as a barbeque accompaniment. Barbecue sauce is poured onto grilled or barbecued meat. It is also used as a dipper. A hot barbecue sauce is usually a blend of sweet, sour and spicy elements and the most popular combination contains tomato flavorings, vinegar and sugar. Barbecue sauces come in myriad forms, with every region boasting of their native BBQ sauce. Thus you have the fiery Texas variety with a tomato base, the vinegar and tomato based Arkansas variety tempered down by molasses, the white mayonnaise based Alabama type and the black pepper, mustard and vinegar concoction hailing from South Carolina. For all the fire they spew, hot pepper sauces are easy to prepare. Take a few peppers (the number wholly depends on how hot your sauce will be) like habanera or tabasco, a cup of water, 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, one bell pepper, a tablespoon of paprika, salt to taste and cumin if you so desire. Chop or grind the peppers and boil it with all the ingredients. Lastly, crush this heady mixture in a blender. Your hot pepper sauce is ready. A word of caution While working with pepper and pepper sauces, do remember to don the gloves. Some peppers are nothing short of live ammunition and are known to cause skin irritation and are especially nasty when they get into the eyes. There is more to a pepper than just the tangy taste. Peppers are storehouses of vitamins A, C and E, potassium and folic acid. So apart from the distinct taste, the hot sauces also impart some nutritional value to the dishes they grace. The hot sauce holds its own in whatever dish it appears. As the saying goes, like it or loathe it, you just cannot ignore it. Chris McCarthy is the owner of InsaneChicken’s Hot Sauce and BBQ Sauce Catalog and a hot sauce enthusiast. InsaneChicken sells hot sauces, bbq sauces, bbq rubs and salsa’s from around the world. Patient Care Technician Schools Teach Vital Skills

May 29th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Michael Bustamante Patient Care Technician Schools, colleges, and universities teach students in the field of patient care with combinations of classroom coursework and skilled practice in laboratory settings. Duties of Patient Care Technicians include assisting with nursing care and other patient needs. Patient Care Technicians are prepared to perform clinical blood collection, EKGs, vital sign readings, and provide care and comfort to patients. Patient care titles are specific to areas of the country. Such titles as Patient Care Technicians (PCT), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Certified Nursing Aides (CNA), Nurse’s Aides (NA), Home Health Aides (HHA), or Personal Care Assistants (PCT) may be used, but all are equal and perform the same duties. Patient Care Technicians are prepared to add to the efficient operation of a healthcare facility with conscientious communication skills and by following instructions, being physically strong and capable for the heavy work entailed, and performing technical skills and procedures needed for providing patient care. Patient Care Technician Schools teach students to expect their duties to include maintaining patient rooms, stocking supplies, and keeping general areas and patient rooms neat and clean. Patient Care Technicians generally work directly under nurse staff supervision. Students in Patient Care Technician Schools may choose advanced studies for specialties in areas of patient care. These specialized Patient Care Technicians may be responsible for continuing their education throughout their careers so as to remain well-informed and up-to-date with new developments in the patient care field. Patient Care Technicians are employed most often in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and clinics. Certification provides an advantage for employment, and examinations for certification in patient care may be necessary for employment in some institutions. Areas of knowledge in phlebotomy, performing EKGs, First Aid, CPR, and AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillation), as well as ability to understand and provide good patient care may be tested. Due to the growing need, well-educated, multi-skilled, and experienced Patient Care Technicians are afforded more and more opportunities to choose jobs and schedules, working environments, and situations that meet personal goals and preferences. Teens, Jobs and School: The Pros and Cons

May 26th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Jill L. Ferguson Most teens realize at a fairly young age the old adage that money equals power. Money equals designer clothes, a car and insurance, and in many cases, a certain amount of freedom. And in order to get money, many teens get part-time jobs. While the benefits and/or drawbacks of teens and part-time jobs have been researched, studied and debated since at least 1979, the teens, jobs and affects on schoolwork verdict is still out. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 50 percent of American teenagers hold informal jobs, such as babysitting or yard work, by age 12. And by age 15, nearly two-thirds of American teens have had some kind of employment. And many researchers, including those on government panels like the National Commission on Youth praise part-time work and say it contributes to the transition from youth to adulthood. Parents and educators alike have, for decades, said that part-time jobs teach children how to be responsible and manage money. But Temple University researcher Laurence Steinberg found that only 11 percent of students report saving most of their money for college, and only three percent contribute to household living expenses. The bulk of teens money goes to clothing, cars, entertainment, and in some cases, drugs and alcohol, according to results of a study published in Harvard Education Letter in 1998. Steinberg says, Students who work longer hours report diminished engagement in schooling, lowered school performance, increased psychological distress, higher drug and alcohol use, higher rates of delinquency and greater autonomy from parental control. A 1997 study by David Stern, director of the National Research Center for Vocational Education at the University of California, Berkeley, proves Steinbergs viewpoint. In research conducted over 20 years, students who worked more than 15 hours per week had lower grades, did less homework, had higher dropout rates and were less likely to go to college than students who worked under 15 hours per week. But Jerald Bachman at the University of Michigans Monitoring the Future Project, warns not to jump to cause and effect conclusions. I would argue that most of the problems that correlate with working long hours are more fundamentally caused, he says. That may contribute the to spiral, but I think the spiral is well underway at the time they elect to work the long hours. Though the drawbacks to a busy, part-time job are many, so are the benefits. A teenagers job can teach work skills that school does not, and it can instill in the teen new confidence, sense of responsibility and independence. Earning money will enable your teen to buy things and to manage money. An after-school job can also provide adult supervision, especially if you work longer hours than those in a typical school day. And the right job may provide networking possibilities and set your child on a rewarding lifetime career path. But before your child gets a job, there are some things you should know. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Minors under 14 years of age may not be employed or permitted to work in any occupation, except children employed on farms or in domestic service in private homes. Children under the age of 14 can also work on farms, be golf caddies, newspaper carriers or juvenile performers in the entertainment industry. But special permits may need to be required. Also according to many state labor laws, teens aged 14 and 15 are not permitted to work more than four hours per day during the school year and not before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m. (During the summer, the amount of hours of work per day can be increased to eight.) Children under the age of 16 are prohibited, by Pennsylvania law, for example, from working in bowling centers (unless as snack bar attendants, scorers or control desk clerks), building heavy work, highway work, anywhere liquor is sold or dispensed, manufacturing, on scaffolds or ladders and window cleaning. For 16 and 17 year olds, the some state laws say, minors are not to work before 6 a.m. or after midnight on school days and 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, not more than eight hours per day and 28 hours per school week. (During the summer, the only restrictions on 16 and 17 year olds, is that they can work no more than eight hours per day or 44 hours per week.) Young adults under the age of 18 are prohibited from working in billiard rooms; doing electrical work; operating elevators; performing crane and hoisting operations; excavating; operating machinery that does woodworking, bakery mixing, cleaning, oiling or punch pressing; roofing; welding; and doing demolition. Your teen securing a job is a big step on the road to maturity. Be sure to discuss the pros and the cons with him or her. You may also want to agree to a job on a trial basis, such as you can work x number of hours a week this grading period and then we will decide if you can keep working, based on your grades. Maintaining good grades, continuing extra curricular activities and keeping a social life will be important to your childs psychological health and development. Also, prepare a budget with your child, setting limits on spending and enforcing a percentage-of- paycheck-into-savings policy. Good money management skills, acquired when young, will last a lifetime. Part-time jobs can be a wonderful experience, with the right supervision and parental guidance. Jill L. Ferguson is a writer, editor, public speaker and professor of creative writing, literature and communication at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Sometimes Art Can’t Save You, her novel about teenage angst in a dysfunctional household, was published by In Your Face Ink LLC in October 2005. Silk Wedding Flowers are the New Wedding Flowers

May 14th, 2008 by alyssaboucouris

By Charlena Stadelman If you are getting married soon, you are going to find out that silk wedding flowers are the new and improved flower to have at any wedding. Hardly any brides will use real flowers anymore. This is because the silk flowers will last longer, and they can be used over and over after the wedding is over and done with. This is a great reason to use silk flowers, and they will stay looking pretty even weeks after the wedding. You are also going to find that the bouquet the bride carries down the aisle are all being made from silk wedding flowers as well. This is an excellent idea, because then the bride will have the bouquet for many years after her wedding to remind her of the flowers she carried on that special day. Once the wedding is over, and you and your husband go home together, you will find that your silk wedding flowers will look pretty and remind you of your special day while you spread them all over the house. Putting a bouquet in each room will bring back memories of not too long ago when you walked down the aisle. You can also take a few of the flower petals and add them to your wedding scrapbook as well. This is a great idea for preserving those wedding day memories. It has also been heard of that wedding cakes have been decorated with the silk wedding flowers as well. Not only the church your getting married in, but the cake that you will eat and serve your guest at your wedding. Of course the flowers can not be eaten, but they will make your wedding cake very pretty, and make your special day even more enjoyable. You may even find that you will want the flower girl to drop silk wedding flowers as she is walking down the aisle on your wedding day. This will save you some money when you are paying for wedding expenses, and the flowers will be gorgeous even tho they are made of silk. None of the guest will be able to tell the difference, and you will love the flowers that are dropped down the aisle just the same. As you can see, the silk wedding flowers are sweeping across the states and becoming the new thing for wedding flowers. While they are a little more affordable, you will also find that they are quite practical, as well. Everyone will love your wedding flowers that match the colors of your wedding, and so will you.
